Upcoming tests spotted on Jawa Cruiser motorcycles
Jawa Motorcycles is reportedly working on its fourth offering in India. Reports citing spyshots we recently caught on the streets suggest the next bike could be a new cruiser. Earlier in October, we first spotted the bike and spy footage from this time provided a detailed look at the bike. While we don’t know the details yet, reports suggest the next cruiser may share its foundation with the Perak. This means the bike will likely be powered by the 334cc single cylinder engine.
While spy footage shows a heavily camouflaged test mule, there are plenty of details. The bike sports a classic retro cruiser stance complemented by a round headlight, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, low saddle, and wide fenders. It gets alloy rims while the rake seems to be slightly more relaxed compared to the classic Jawa.

Other notable features include a wide handlebar, central footrests, circular mirrors, and a long wheelbase. The bike could share its frame with the Perak which gets a wheelbase of 1,485mm. The upcoming cruiser could sport an identical length.
The Jawa cruiser could be in the same condition as the Perak, meaning the 334cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine produces 30bhp and 32.74Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike will be fitted with telescopic forks at the front and dual shocks at the rear, while braking performance will come from disc brakes at each end with dual-channel ABS. A retro-style instrument console is likely to be featured on the bike along with a digital display. It will be interesting to see if Jawa brings Bluetooth connectivity to the cruiser to keep up with the rivals.
