Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) had a good race in India, thanks to its Gixxer range of motorcycles. The Gixxer and the Gixxer SF have both been very successful in the country. However, the company has been absent from the fast growing cruising motorcycle segment until now. Not too long ago, Bajaj offered a 150cc engine variant of its Avenger cruiser bike. And now it even looks like SMIPL is preparing to launch a similar low-displacement cruising bike to compete with the Avenger. The upcoming Suzuki 150cc Cruiser motorcycle is known as the GZ150 in many markets. Here are all the details available on the Suzuki GZ150 cruiser motorcycle which may soon be launched in India.
The company has yet to disclose details regarding the launch date and price of its upcoming 150cc cruising bike. However, there is a good chance that this bike will be launched in the coming months and would have an ex-showroom price of around 80,000. The Avenger 150 has already received a largely favorable reception from buyers of the 150cc segment. It looks like even Suzuki Motor India Pvt Ltd is gearing up to grab a piece of the sales pie.

We expect Suzuki’s next 150cc cruiser bike to cost around Rs 80,000. This will make the bike slightly more expensive than the Avenger 150. However, there is a good chance that it will be cheaper than the Gixxer. This will allow him to sell the bike alongside the Gixxer without one bike eating into another’s market share.

Suzuki GZ150 Cruiser Motorcycle Design
So far, we haven’t even seen a single test mule of this bike. However, there is a good chance that the Indian spec GZ150 looks almost exactly like the international spec model. The upcoming 150cc model has a modern twist in its design while still retaining a cruising bike shape. The rear tire will be wide enough to give that nasty look, while there will be bits and pieces like LED tail lights to give the bike a premium feel. Typical of cruising motorcycles, this bike will offer raised handlebars, low saddle height and a relaxed riding posture.
The GZ150 is Suzuki’s first low-displacement cruising bike for India. Therefore, the success of this bike in the country will depend on a lot of things. We’ll keep you posted with more concrete information on the launch date and price of the Suzuki GZ150 Cruiser Motorcycle as soon as we have an official word from the company.
