Kawasaki launched its 2022 Dual-Sport and Supermoto model line in the United States. The entire range has a total of six motorcycles with two engine configurations. The model range includes the KLX 300, KLX 300SM, KLR 650, KLR 650 ABS, KLR 650 Traveler ABS and KLR 650 Adventure Non-ABS / ABS.

The KLX 300 is the flagship motorcycle of the KLX range. The dual sport motorcycle is based on the KLX off-road range as well as the ADV KLR 650. This motorcycle is powered by a 292cc liquid-cooled four-stroke FI engine with an electric starter. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox which serves to transmit power to its wheels. The ride here is provided by a long-travel dual-sport suspension. The bike is equipped with a 21-inch wheel at the front and an 18-inch wheel at the rear. It is available in two color options: Lime Green and Fragment Camo Gray. Its price is 5,599 USD (Rs 4.09 lakh).

The 2022 KLX300SM is a supermoto model. It shares a similar engine and chassis with the KLX300. To set it apart, the KLX300SM comes with supermoto-inspired components that include 17-inch wheels at both ends wrapped in road tires, suspension tuned for the supermoto and aggressive styling. It is available in two colors: lime green / ebony and oriental blue / ebony. Its retail price is held at $ 5,999 (Rs 4.38 lakh).

Kawasaki has also updated the KLR650. New updates to the 2022 model include a new digital instrument cluster, redesigned fuel tank, larger two-position adjustable windshield, increased generator capacity, larger aluminum rear mount and a new LED headlight configuration. It also comes with features like ABS, factory installed LED auxiliary light set, engine guards, tank pad, DC power outlet and USB outlet.

The company also offers additional trims for the KLR650. The non-ABS variant is priced at $ 6,699 (Rs 4.89 lakh) and comes in two color options: Pearl Sand Khaki and Pearl Lava Orange. Meanwhile, the ABS variant is priced at $ 6,999 (Rs 5.11 lakh) and is available in a single color option, Pearl Sand Khaki. There is also a Traveler ABS variant offered in Pearl Laval Orange color and priced at $ 7,399 (Rs 5.41 lakh). The final and more expensive variant here is the Adventure which is optionally offered in Cypher Camo Gray color. The prices of the same are as follows:

KLR650 Adventure without ABS: 7,699 USD (Rs 5.62 lakh).

KLR650 Adventure ABS: USD 7,999 (Rs 5.84 lakh).

Although Kawasaki brought these products to the United States, they are unlikely to reach India anytime soon.
