Images of TVS’ first scrambler-style touring bike revealed! Ronin or Zeppelin R?

Can it be called Ronin or Zeppelin R?

The next new motorcycle from TVS has been in the news for some time now. As its launch date (July 6, 2022) approaches, several details about the motorcycle are leaked online. At first it was the T-shaped DRL on the round headlights, followed by the official name of the bike. Now an image of the entire motorcycle has been revealed.

Below, we’ve discussed some of the key details of TVS’ upcoming scrambler-style cruiser motorcycle that stand out in the leaked images.

The TVS Ronin or Zeppelin R was first unveiled at Auto Expo 2018. At the time, the bike featured strong lines with a muscular but boxy tank size and a one-piece saddle. Not much has changed with production spec mode except for the tank design and new two-tone color shown above in the leaked image.

However, the square ends of the tank shape have been smoothed out. Another design highlight is the round headlight design with the T-shaped DRL. There’s that distinct premium appeal with the Ronin aka Zeppelin R, which can sometimes remind you of the bulbous-looking Triumph Trident.

Mechanically, the Ronin aka Zeppelin R should fit the engine of the Apache RTR 200 4V but slightly tuned. Also, it remains to be seen whether the new bike will be built on the Apache’s chassis or an all-new unit. But the golden inverted forks are clearly visible, as is the monoshock at the rear. The motorcycle should also be equipped with dual ABS.

TVS has confirmed the launch date of the Ronin/Zeppelin R, and we expect its price to be between ₹1.5 lakh and ₹2.5 lakh. Once launched here in India, it could slot into the 250cc motorcycle segment which includes competitors such as – Husqvarna duos of Svartpillen and Vitpillen, the newly launched Pulsar N250 or the KTM Duke 250.
